Had a good meeting with @hughmcguire at Pressbooks
biyuti publishing had a very informative and productive meeting with Hugh McGuire at [Pressbooks](http://www.pressbooks.com].
Up to now biyuti publishing has been using a wordpress + anthologize stack for our publishing/formatting workflows. Unfortunately, anthologize requires a fair amount of tweaking to get a decent looking final product (particularly with pdfs, but even epubs required some additional work after generated).
Pressbooks does these things much better. But one of the key components, for making pdfs, is a little outside of our current ability to afford. So I (b. binaohan) met up with Hugh and discussed the option of moving biyuti publishing over to Pressbooks.com.
For now… we’ll be staying with where we currently are, while we wait for some exciting developments that might be forthcoming in the (hopefully) near future.
It is possible that I may migrate the current setup to using the pressbooks plugin (without the pdf option), once I’m out of the current hosting plan, where they only have PHP 5.3 (pressbooks requires 5.4 and I tried installing it and something totally breaks if you try to implement the plugin in a PHP 5.3 environment).
In any case…
Some of the current workflow will be adapted to use some of the free tools at Pressbook.com, since their software just works so much better and will suit some of biyuti publishing’s current needs.
