We are crowdfunding on Gittip #girlslikeus

I recently found this new crowdfunding site, called Gittip, where instead of it being project based, they have a system wherein you make weekly donations (and accept weekly donations), as a means to obtain consistent funding, as opposed to periodic donations based on a particular project.

I’m giving this a try, since it would help immensely to have a steady weekly income to cover the costs of running biyuti publishing. Moreover, if this funding method is successful, I could probably just do this and pay all the writers who publish with us 100% of their royalties. This project isn’t, and never has been, about me (b. binaohan) making money — or at least making money beyond my own publications.
The really wonderful thing about this, is that the website does not charge any fees (beyond the normal credit card ones). This means that 100% of your donation goes directly to biyuti publishing. This means that if someone wants to donate $0.25 a week (or $1/month), you can. Moreover, that would amount to a **significant** contribution.
So. Um. Maybe think about becoming one of our funders. If this is successful, I will probably try to see if I can work out a subscription model for those people who will contribute a certain amount (as in: free books for investors!).
