I don’t like kurt. I try so hard but…
I just don’t like him as a character.
To a certain extent, I think it may be that he reminds me too much of myself in certain key ways. But it is also because the qualities that people in fandom love of his are the ones that irritate me. Which means that, for many of the fics I read, I end up just wishing that Blaine would dump his ass and go with someone better.
Canon kurt is much, much better than fandom kurt. Even more importantly, I do like what kurt represents and what he does…
I just. Cannot fathom why fandom loves the things about him that it loves.
